Best Photography Schools: our editorial selection

2 schools

Results are listed alphabetically. There is no price ranking: prices in different currencies and bases (per credit, per term, per year, whole program) are not comparable. Online programs are never counted as physically located in a state or city. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change recognition status, verification or order.

Degree study: 2 bachelor’s-level programs; 2 master’s-level programs.

2 of the listed programs are photography pathways within a broader art or media degree rather than a degree titled photography.

4 programs state that a portfolio is required; the rest do not publish a portfolio requirement on the pages we checked, which is not the same as not needing one.

1 of the programs publish a tuition figure, each shown with its own basis (per term, per year, per credit or for the whole program), which is why fees are never ranked against each other.
